As one of the first surgeons in Redding to offer robotic-assisted orthopaedic surgery for partial knee replacement patients, I'm frequently asked for my opinion on the technique. While not every patient is a candidate for robotic-assisted surgery, the system we use at Shasta Regional Medical Center is incredibly powerful, and the results we have been able to achieve are impressive.
At Shasta Regional Medical Center, we use the Navio Surgical System for Partial Knee Replacement Surgery. The system allows me to perform precise partial knee replacement surgeries utilizing a navigation platform to assist in building patient-specific surgical plans. It also allows me to visualize my patients' x-rays before I remove any bone.
The team over at Navio has created this educational video that shows how partial knee replacement works with the robotic-assisted system. I would recommend checking it out if you're interested in learning more about this technique.
